I have a very special guest today who is going to get real with us about real food for pregnancy, and that probably gave it away if you have read her book real food for pregnancy, but if you are not familiar with her, today's guest is Lily Nichols, RDN, author of Real Food for Pregnancy and Real Food for Gestational Diabetes and a registered dietician nutritionist.

I wanted to bring Lily on to share her well-rounded perspective on nutrition for pregnancy because she is a conventionally trained dietician who has stepped outside of the conventional boundaries of medical dietetics to study beyond the USDA pyramid and seek a deeper truth about how we should be approaching our nutrition, especially as it pertains to prenatal health and feeding your growing baby.

Lily has been on countless podcasts sharing her research and with the studies say about nutrition, but while I had her here, I wanted to explore a little more about her insights into some less well researched areas and what drives her to keep doing this work that benefits so many of us in so many ways. Lily is truly an inspiring advocate for real food and families everywhere, so I hope you enjoy sitting in with us on this conversation!

Oh and stay tuned until the very end if you want to hear what that strange noise is that you might hear in the background - this is real food and real life in the times of COVID!
