Colossians 1:15-20 (NIV)

 

4 Statements About Jesus To Consider

1) Jesus created you

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. v. 16

 

2) Jesus sustains you

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. v. 17

 

3) Jesus leads you

And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. v. 18

 

4) Jesus saves you

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. v. 19-20 

 

Is Jesus Enough…Really?

1) Is Jesus enough?

2) When was a time when you thought Jesus wasn’t enough?

3) How does this passage inform how you think about Jesus’ sufficiency?

4) What is your response to the statement, “Jesus created you”?

5) What is your response to the statement, “Jesus sustains you”?

6) What is your response to the statement, “Jesus leads you”?

7) What is your response to the statement, “Jesus saves you”? 

8) Which of these four statements are the most challenging for 

you to understand?

9) Which of these four statements do you find the greatest comfort in?

10) Which of these four statements do you need the most right now?

11) What is an area that you still struggle with Jesus being enough?
