Cartoonist ROBB ARMSTRONG and our history he's helped make!
Peanuts creator, Charles Schultz created the 1st black character in his comic strip, Peanuts, in 1968, after the assassination of Dr Martin Luther King, as an attempt to gain more understanding of each other. That character inspired Robb to follow suit. Schultz respected his work so much he named the character after Robb by naming the boy Franklin Armstrong. Robb also co-wrote the Apple+ TV special WELCOME HOME FRANKLIN.
