I jumped on the phone to talk with Matt from Climbing Tal’s Hill, an Astros publication to talk about the team’s path to the playoffs this season. Of course, I asked him what it’s like to be a fan of a team that the entire league hates. I brought up Jose Altuve’s struggles as well as Carlos Correa’s voice in that locker room. Not surprisingly, Matt didn’t have a ton of confidence going into the postseason, but it’s just a matter of getting there, right?
We then previewed their series with the Oakland Athletics, first pitch for game one is Monday at 3:07 PM CT. He expressed that although the season series was heavily in the A’s’ favor, there’s something to be said about playoff experience on the roster. You’ll actually be surprised to hear his series prediction!
