Previous Episode: barometric
Next Episode: whiskey, and why did she go
'it hasn’t escaped her'
sometimes she gets lost
in the cool shade beneath her trees
eclipsed in the tales of two men
one she wakes to every morn
the other still attached
an ethereal cord
from many years grown long.
she wouldn’t trade her life
for the lure of anything else
but on occasion
when her past crosses the sun
her soul gives a little shiver
her toes curl into
the velvety dew of her lawn.
