In these troubled times, are we looking back with increased respect to Menachem Begin’s leadership?

My guest today is film director Jonathan Gruber, who’s movie “Upheaval, The Journey of Menachem Begin” was released on June 7th.

Menachem Begin helped build then mould today’s State of Israel, a tireless fighter for all Jewish people.

They say his life, both pragmatic and miraculous made him a man of contradictions and nuances.

But wasn’t that just because he was charged with such grand responsibility on so many levels? Some events went spectacularly right, some tragically wrong.

But throughout, his courage of conviction and unwavering values shone through.

I’m joined by the movie’s director, Jonathan Gruber to discuss his film of one of Israel and the Jewish people‘s most important figures of the 20th century.
