The Cure for Anxiety - Week 2/ Day 9

During this episode of God Resilient with Dr. Latisha Webb, let’s

1. 🛐Pray
2. 💭Process and reflect on what the bible means to be anxious and how we can be God Resilient against anxiety, and
3. 📖Pursue God’s Word in Mat 6:26, Job 38:41, and Psalm 147:9

Referring back to Phil 4:6, why did Apo Paul make the distinction between experiencing momentary anxiety versus living in a state of anxiety? The American Psychological Association defines anxiety as an emotion characterized by

feelings of tension,
worried thoughts, and
physical changes like increased blood pressure

The Apo Paul knew that if we lived in a continued state of anxiety that it would affect us spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, physically and socially.
Another distinction is some people have anxiety traits, which is a part of one’s personality that shows through their behaviors, actions, and feelings. Other people may experience a state of anxiety or a temporary condition that they experience for a short period of time. After the experience, they return to another state.

Mat 6:26 (HCS)
“Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?”

Job 38:41 (HCS)
“Who provides the raven’s food when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?"

Psalm 147:9 (HCS)
“He provides the animals with their food, and the young ravens, what they cry for.”
