2. 💭Process how Moses’ negative self-image impacted his perception of his Kingdom value
3. 📖Pursue God’s Word in Exodus 4:1-17

What is Kingdom value?
Kingdom value contrasts with earthly or worldly values. The world values individual success, power, wealth, and pleasure. Jesus teaches us about the Kingdom of God.

Have you ever wondered what value you bring to the table? A person might perceive themselves as devalued due to a variety of psychological, social, and personal factors. One reason why a person cannot perceive their value is negative self-image.

What is Negative Self-Image?
Persistent negative self-talk and self-criticism can lead to a poor self-image. This can be influenced by personality, past experiences, or mental health issues such as depression or anxiety.

Moses had a negative self-image. He told God that he has never been eloquent. In addition, Moses considered himself slow and hesitant in speech.

Despite of Moses negative self image, God saw Moses’ kingdom value. God qualified the called. He does not call the qualified. God empowers those He calls to accomplish a divine mission. God uses imperfect people to fulfill His purpose.d

Here are three examples why God chose Moses:

A Unique Position
Moses was raised in Egypt and also witnessed the suffering of the Israelites first-hand, placing him in a unique position to have empathy and understanding of both Egyptian and Hebrew cultures and perspectives.

A Powerful Transformation
Moses’ initial reluctance and self-doubt, highlighted by his speech impediment and hesitation, provides a powerful narrative of transformation and shows how God can use even those who do not feel ready or capable.

A Deliberate Choice
The Bible often depicts God's actions as part of a greater divine plan. God's choosing of Moses, an Israelite brought up in Pharaoh's court, suggests a deliberate choice that aligns with God’s overarching plan for His people.

The same reasons why God chose Moses, we can consider why God chooses us. Think about our lives and what you feel called to do. Let’s ponder three questions:

1. What is your unique position?
2. How has God transformed you?
3. How is God using you in His overarching plan?
