My guest is legendary Los Angeles studio drummer Steve Schaeffer. In this episode we talk about Steve's jazz background, moving to Los Angeles in the late 1960s and his break into TV and film work, thanks to the recommendation of his friend and mentor, the great Shelly Manne. By the mid 1970s, Steve was a first call session player for television and film scores and a permanent fixture on the LA recording scene. It's easier to name the TV shows and films he didn't record. Steve also has over 320 album credits. So come along for the ride and please subscribe!
