The 20th Anniversary of my debut Cherry Performance in Washington DC was April 22, 2001, 5 years into my DJ career. Now 20 years later, I am thrilled to present part 4 of my full DJ set ‘Platinum Cherry After-hours." You can find parts 1-3 here.

In 2001, the only way to build a DJ career was word of mouth. There was no Facebook or Instagram. Or SoundCloud. For people to hear my sound and build a name, I had to reach and impress them in person. Impress them enough to reach the ears of someone in charge. Getting booked and being well received at a Cherry Afterhours in the Northeast region, where I needed a break to build my name, remains a pivotal part of my DJ journey. My career accelerated from first to third gear in one night.
