For Mignon Francois, it all started with an inexpensive cupcake that was meant to bring joy to people who needed it.

"I wanted people to be able to dig through their couches, car seats and junk drawers to be able to buy a cupcake for themselves, someone's birthday or anniversary in order to bring joy into life."

Mignon and her family surely understood necessity. As someone who could not bake a cake that came from a box, she needed to provide income for her family. Dave Ramsey preached having a bake sale if you needed extra money.

Now Mignon's bake sale has blossomed into one of Nashville's most amazing business success stories. The Cupcake Collection in historic Germantown typically has lines out the door and sells out well before closing time.

Some would even say it was ordained and anointed by God.
