Did you know that that yesterday was National Agriculture Day? We didn’t! In fact, some of us didn’t even know such a designated day existed until we saw Farm Aid’s post about it on Facebook. While the holiday itself is driven by a nonprofit with rather questionable members (hello, Walmart, the Farm Bureau, and… Bayer?!), we couldn’t help but want to also share some agriCULTURE from Hightower’s own history, including a picture from his childhood, from the second Farm Aid concert, and more from his work as the Texas Agriculture Commissioner.
