Episode 214 is the twenty-third  in a series covering the Secret Service and  possible involvement in the coverup, or the  actual plot itself to assassinate President Kennedy.  Today's episode is our third in a mini-series  covering Joseph Milteer.  In today's episode we begin to explore more broadly  the impact of the civil rights movement and the clash of civilization that began to accelerate in the 1950's. The landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision in Brown versus the Board of Education had a major impact and was a major accelerator after 1954 of change in this country.  We explore that history in this episode  up to about 1960 and the election of President  Kennedy. This period was one of gestation so to speak related to the growing discontent on both sides of this epic struggle  and it's an important time frame to understand a we set the plate for the civil rights show down that would come to a new and escalating  boil  during the Kennedy administration... and contribute to the events leading to the assassination of President Kennedy.  An assassination that appears to have included the involvement of hard core right wing characters including Joseph Milteer.

Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over  the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it,  were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission. Conspiracy theories were contrary to the government's stated narrative from the very beginning. This  real-life story is more fascinating than fiction.  No matter whether you are a serious researcher or a casual student, you will enjoy the fact filled narrative and story as  we relive one of the most shocking moments in American History. An event that changed the nation and changed the world forever.
