Dr.Michael Osterholm is the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) . He is also the chair of public health and a professor at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Osterholm is an internationally recognized expert in epidemiology, public health and pandemic preparedness, with a distinguished career spanning over 45 years.

He is the author of the New York Times best-selling books, Living Terrors: What America Needs to Know to Survive the Coming Bioterrorist Catastrophe(2001) and The Deadliest Enemy: Our War Against Killer Germs( 2017)

Dr. Osterholm also has a weekly podcast on COVID-19 related topics.

In November 2020, Dr. Osterholm was appointed to President-elect Joe Biden's 13-member Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board.
