Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ is a Pentecostal church located inMemphis, Tennessee. It was founded March 6, 1975 by the late Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson. The church's current pastor is Milton Hawkins. The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is a Pentecostal–Holiness Christian denomination with a predominantly African-American membership. The denomination reports having more than 12,000 churches and over 6.5 million members in the United States making it the largest Pentecostal church in the country.
