This was Apostle Paul’s first letter to the young Thessalonian Church.

Paul had many pleasant memories of the days he spent with the young church (if they were a physical human baby they would be (called infants).

Paul encourages them to excel go higher in their newfound faith, to increase in their love for one another and rejoice, pray, and give thanks always. 

He closes his letter with instruction regarding the return of the Lord, whose advent or arrival signifies hope and comfort for the Believer both living and dead.
