Episode 24: Davis Sunderland Joins

The host of Marble Wars and a familiar face around Creighton’s campus, Davis Sunderland joins JayTalk. Davis talks about his experience hosting Marble Wars and working the Swanson front desk. Along with Davis, we tackle our segments "Dream of the Week," "Fun Fact," and "Quote of the Week." The podcast ends with 15 minutes of Masters talk (tune in to see Davis correctly predict the winner of the Masters).

Head Creighton men's and women's cross country coach Chris Gannon joins JayTalk. Gannon talks about his podcast, the Shakeout, shares his journey to Creighton, speaks on recruiting athletes, and informs us of what the XC team has been up to in COVID times.

Episode 21: Tristan Wirfs Joins

Native of Mount Vernon, Iowa and the 13th pick of the 2020 NFL draft, Tristan Wirfs joins the podcast. We chat about his brief career as a baseball player (4:25), his development as an athlete with Coach Doyle (7:05), stories about Coach Ferentz (13:20), and NFL players he is looking forward to playing against (27:00). 

Episode 20: Jack Larsen Joins

Rising Junior XC runner Jack Larsen joins the podcast. After facing a medical redshirt in his sophomore campaign, Larsen looks to come back with a strong junior season.  On the podcast, we talk about Jack's academic and athletic careers at Creighton, his race day mentality, state our respective beefs of the week, and ask Jack some questions from teammate Jack Stamper. 

Episode 19: Katie Clark and Cayla Nielsen Join

In the 19th edition of JayTalk, good friends of the pod Katie Clark and Cayla Nielsen join. Katie and Cayla are both freshmen outfielders for the Creighton Softball team.  In the interview, we talk about their experiences on the softball team this year, their superstitions with the sport (14:00), and what they do when they are bored in the outfield (20:00).

Creighton's Director of Public Safety Mike Reiner joins the podcast. Creighton Women's Basketball player Jaylyn Agnew joins the podcast. Capping off her historic season, Jaylyn was named the Big EAST Player of the Year on March 4th.
