McKenna Geer stopped by The Protectors to talk about her journey to the Paralympic games not only this summer, but Rio 2016.  We also talk about what the day in the life of an athlete is like, shooting sports, the incredible accuracy needed to hit the target (like splitting hairs!!), and a ton more.

About McKenna: She is an American Paralympic sports shooter. She became the first female sports shooter to win a medal in shooting at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and also won two medals in the 2019 Parapan American Games.

From the Team Site: The International Paralympic Committee named Geeer one of the “Top 10 Para-Athletes You Should Like Before 2016” noting “expect her to be huge come Rio 2016.” That’s tall billing, but Dahl takes it in stride, saying that it reassures her she’s on the right track. In 2014, she moved to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
