Today’s episode of Jarhead is a special one, as we celebrate our nation’s independence day. That’s right folks, America is 244 years young, and it was on this day in 1776 the United States laid down its claim to be a free and independent nation. Our declaration of independence was drafted by one of our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, who would go on to become the 3rd President of the United States of America. Also on today’s show I am going to discuss the American National Anthem, also referred to as The Star Spangled Banner. And I will end the show discussing the Pledge of Allegiance and what it means.
