Why is it so hard to study the Bible?
Is it so difficult? Not enough time? Not enough reason?
Is it that word? Study?
We all have our reasons, our excuses? But we live in an age when most people can have the Bible in their hands at any given moment on their phone. We have audio versions, podcasts, study Bibles, and every tool imaginable to help us dive in deep.
So let's cast off our excuses and dive in together.
In this episode, Jack and John share insights and stories to help encourage you to get out of the boat, forget your comfort zone. Walk on that water. Jesus is calling. Don't be afraid.
Yes, you might sink... You probably will sink... But He won't let you drown. He will lift you up, and He will plant your feet on solid ground.

Here are a few notes  from the podcast:

·        One of the most overlooked approaches to studying the Bible is also one of the best and most important, and that is to pray and rely on the Holy Spirit to guide you.

·        John 16:13 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

·        Ideas for studying the Bible:
Step 1: Observation—What does the passage say?
Step 2: Interpretation—What does the passage mean?
Step 3: Application—What am I going to do about it?

There are tons of helpful resources on the web. Here's one.
