Change is the only constant. There may be nothing more accurate than this statement about pretty much everything surrounding our existence. When we look at technology, especially lately, we take this fact to an all-new level.

The technology field is continually changing and how we learn and teach is also in constant flux. Recognizing this never-ending trend, the Elevate The Future team works hard to stay on top of the latest trends while folding in the direct feedback from their fellow students. Adjusting their curriculum for new findings will be beneficial for the local, regional, and global groups; they are always rooted in the present while also looking towards the future.

"We care a lot about the students' feedback and how they feel about the classes. Everything that we do and all of our future plans is all surrounding what students want, and what they think is best for their own learning and growth." — Ellen Xu.

Elevate The Future continues to innovate with technology to create new learning experiences to impact hundreds of students within San Diego, all across the United States, and worldwide. Some of the activities include:

new courses for cybersecurity, advanced business and investment, web frameworks, mobile development, Python, and morea public Youtube channel to go with co-curriculum education in high schools/middle schoolsa dedicated cybersecurity capture the flag (CTF) eventexpansion into Title I schoolsa global tech/entrepreneurship summita DoD-funded cyber event for students of military families

In addition to the excellent coursework and activities, the team also considers its value for the students' future. And, to this point, there is a need to learn more than just about technology. It's not so much about "compute, compute, compute" — it's about critical thinking and problem-solving. These are critical elements and the team works hard to bridge that gap. It's not just about learning technology; it's not just about understanding cybersecurity. Instead, they take the time to communicate with the students that it's about technology AND space travel, that it's about cybersecurity AND business value. It's about hardware, software, data, algorithms, and all this cool stuff … but also as it relates to some real field or industry in which they could ultimately end up working.
