Esther V. Toribio - Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern & Sex Trafficking Advocate - 9

Esther V. Toribio is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida, she's a world traveled advocate, legal executive assistant and paralegal of 15 years who is the founding face, owner, and podcaster at Striving Minds Network, LLC, a mental health counseling private practice in Miami, Florida. Striving Minds Network opened its doors October 2019 and has thus focused on serving young adults (ages 20-36) specializing in the areas of anxiety, survivors of abuse/trauma, self-identity/sexuality, religious sexual shame, purity culture and heartbreak recovery all while promoting healthy SexEd and Sex Positivity. Esther graduated Summa Cum Laude (3.91 GPA) from Trinity International University, where she earned a second Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2019. Additionally, Esther obtained a Master of Arts from Liberty University in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2017. Esther absolutely loves to learn about different cultures! In her 20s, she traveled to Haiti, Cuba, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, & South Asia on mission trips. The settings included disaster-relief, tent villages, gang violence, orphanages, and sex-trafficking brothels. Language barrier was no obstacle, a wholesome conversation, with a translator, and listening ears truly goes a long way. Here, Esther developed an awareness of diversity, SES, and effective communication skills. Esther is in the process of becoming a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) in the State of Florida.
