She completed her postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School (Boston Childrens' Hospital) where her published research was focused on the immune system, food allergies and the gut microbiome. Azza grew up in London an holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from University College London (UK), a Masters degree in the Immunology of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK), and a undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from King's College London (UK).
