Ciao amici miei. Benvenuto allo spettacolo. OK just did my best to write a little italian in honor of my guests for this episode. A great pop punk band from Italy called Sunset Radio. Speaking with guitarist Teo and singer Andrea is a true sign that music has no borders. It has no language barriers. It’s the one truly international language that can unite everyone no matter what color your skin is and what country you come from.
Just to mention a few topics we touch on:
We discuss the state of the rock/ punk scene in Italy. How being stuck at home for a year and a half with the whole world shut down, hasn’t made it easy to get inspired to write some meaningful lyrics. Like a lot of artists, they need to get out there an experience to get inspired to write.
Talk about how they choose their cover songs and how they use them as a way to gain more exposure. Very smart of them.
They also shared funny stories about their tour in Japan which sounded like an amazing trip. Man, wish I was there. They just lived my fantasy, to play rock music and tour in Japan. Lucky bastards. I’m jealous as hell.
