Interview with Thou's Bryan Funck

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with New Orleans sludge legend Thou’s vocalist Bryan Funck. Bryan and I discussed operating a band in a pandemic, their unorthodoxly collaborative nature, and how DIY played a role in the band’s rise and development. The band came from the muck that they emulate in their sound, building lasting friendships on the come up. Whether that be bands that they’ve collaborated with, toured with, or just helped book shows for, Thou is all about community. Bryan had some precious insight, and it was a fantastic opportunity to get to pick his brain.
