Day 217 Isaiah 45 to 48

In chapter 45 Isaiah prophesies the coming of the Persian king Cyrus, that God will use. And the rest of the chapter declares the sovereignty and supremacy of the God of Israel as the One and Only God.

Chapter 46 speaks of the foolishness of following idols, which cannot save and chapter 47 predicts the downfall of Babylon for trusting in her own wisdom.

The section of reading concludes in chapter 48 showing God’s love and redemption for Israel despite their disobedience.
