Exodus chapter 1 starts out, naming the children of Israel, which came in to Egypt with Jacob’s 11 sons Joseph was already in Egypt. Moving down to verse 15 Pharaoh commands that the Hebrew males be killed at birth. Exodus chapter 2 Moses is born, and his mother has to give him away. Pharaohs daughter had to raise Moses and she is the one that names him. Moses grows older, he to flee from Egypt to Midian because he kills an Egyptian when he gets down to Midian he meets some women there who are drawing water from a well where he made a pitstop. The shepherds try to run them off and Moses helps them. Moses finds favor with their father and their father gives him Zipphorah to wife. Chapter 3 God calls Moses from a burning bush. he also we assures Moses that he will free his people from the king of Egypt.
