Rev 16-- describes the seven vials that were poured out on the earth which refers to God’s wrath on the earth. Each represented a type of plague that would take place in the earth.
Rev 17 -- focuses on the "religious Babylon," which came to ruin because of its ungodly spiritual system.
Rev 18 –deep grief and sorrow was expressed over the fall of Babylon the Great which had become a dwelling for demons and impure spirits. Warnings were also given to escape Babylon before judgment took place
