Summary Dan 6-7

Chp 6 speaks about the well-known story of Daniel being placed in the lion’s den.  Because of Daniel’s extraordinary qualities, he was appointed by the king to oversee the entire kingdom.  Those around him became very jealous and envy and decided to plot a scheme against him.  The king had issued a decree that anyone who prayed to any other god besides him would be placed in the lion’s den.  Daniel continued his daily ritual of praying three times a day to the One and only God. Although he was thrown in the lion’s den, God continued to be with him in the midst and sent an angel to close the mouth of the lion.
Chp 7 covers the first of three visions that Daniel has.  The first vision with the Four Beasts, which he describes in details.  One of the beasts resembles that of a lion with eagle’s wings
the Ancient of Days, the Son of Man and then it concludes with the interpretation of the vision.  The four beasts represented four kingdoms of the earth.  Out of the four kingdoms, only one will remain which is the kingdom of the Most High.
