Ugreen has launched a new range of high-wattage and fast-charging Nexode Power Banks. The new power banks take on the same design language that we have seen in recent Ugreen products with a premium finish, straight lines and softly rounded corners.
The two power banks we will be taking a look at today are a 20000mAh unit capable of 130 watts output and a slightly smaller model, which has a capacity of 12000mAh and an output of 100 watts.
Both power banks have a lightweight, compact design, aimed at being easy to carry in a laptop bag, your luggage and, indeed, your hand and they also come with a raft of safety features to keep everything safe while charging.
UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 20000mAh 130W
This larger capacity power bank comes with two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. It measures 54 51 131mm and weighs just 480 grams which is quite light for this capacity.
One of those USB-C ports is capable of fast charging a device at up to 100 watts, with the other 30 watts being available through the other two ports. I have been using this larger powerbank when out of the office to keep my MacBook and iPhone topped up, and there is still another port available if needed to charge earphones or a smartwatch. It is also very handy for keeping kid's tablets charged when you are out and about too.
The power bank itself can charge back up at 65 watts which takes around two hours. The internal battery cells are automotive grade 21700 Lithium-ion which are rated to still be capable of 80% capacity after 1000 charge cycles so these power banks should last most people long into the future.
The power bank has a button on the side which wakes the display on the front. That display shows all the stats you need such as the percentage charge of the power bank, how long it will take to charge if it is being charged along with stats for each port when they are in use. Those stats include the output watts and if you press the side button a second time you can also see the amps being outputted along with a small graph plotting the output.
Pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds enables a trickle charging mode. This mode is safer for charging low-power-consuming devices like earphones and smartwatches and is a nice feature to have as it means you can safely charge just about any device you will carry around with you safely and quickly.

UGREEN Nexode Power Bank 12000mAh 100W
The smaller capacity power bank comes with one USB-C port and one USB-A port but is still capable of outputting the full 100 watts through one port. Similar to its larger brother, it too can fast charge at 65 watts and will be full in around 90 minutes.
The USB-A port has a max output of 22.5 watts. If you use both ports at the same time, they can both output 10 watts simultaneously.
The smaller capacity means the power bank comes in at just 45.5 x 46 115mm and 309 grams, so it is very pocketable for one the go.
The display on this device is more basic and doesn't provide as much information as its bigger brother, but that's acceptable, considering it retails at half the price. It shows what percentage charge the power bank. A similar button on the side of the device wakes the screens.
