On the November 9th, 2019 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, host Angelo Di Carlo interviews 2009 Notre Dame football captain and safety Kyle McCarthy. McCarthy grew up Irish Catholic and returned to Notre Dame in 2014 as a graduate assistant coach with hopes of one day becoming Notre Dame's head coach. But he quickly learned that he had stage 3 testicular cancer. He says his Catholic faith helped guide him through those difficult times. Now he's married with a 2-year old and this week announced he was five years cancer free. Kyle is now an NFL agent, saying his cancer battle made him want to have more stability at home instead of going into coaching. It's an inspirational interview you won't want to miss.
