On the October 8th, 2022 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, host Angelo Di Carlo chats with the former chaplain of the Notre Dame football team, Fr. Paul Doyle, C.S.C. Father Doyle grew up a Notre Dame fan in a small town in Virginia. His family would drive up to the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains to be able to tune in Irish games on the radio and listen. He first arrived on campus in 1961 as an undergrad and has been at Notre Dame pretty much ever since outside of his service to the U.S. National Guard. Fr. Doyle reflects on the beauty of Notre Dame, shares stories of his close friend and Heisman Trophy winner John Huarte and the joy it was for him to serve as chaplain to the team he grew up cheering for from 2001-2002. Fr. Doyle has touched so many lives in his 60 plus years at Notre Dame, including his 23 years as rector at Dillon Hall. A conversation you won't want to miss!
