On the September 28th, 2019 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, former Notre Dame captain and middle linebacker Joe Schmidt is our guest on our Focus on Faith Segment. Schmidt defied the odds by going from a walk-on to captain at Notre Dame. He explains how he grew up a Notre Dame in part because of his Catholic faith as a kid--he was just connected to Notre Dame because of it. He spoke about the values his family instilled in him as a kid to pray each night before bed and how that helped shape who he is today. Perhaps no one enjoyed the experience of living out their dream to play for Notre Dame more than Joe Schmidt. So it was remarkable to hear him explain how he doesn't miss it at all because of the fact that that he has no regrets and wouldn't want to change anything about his experience. It's a conversation you won't want to miss with Redeemer Radio 95.7FM Sports Director Angelo Di Carlo.
