In this episode, Hadar Aviram, Professor of Law at UC Hastings Law, discusses her new book, "Yesterday's Monsters: The Manson Family Cases and the Illusion of Parole," which is published by the University of California Press. Aviram begins by describing how parole works in California. She explains why she decided to study the parole hearings of Charles Manson and the members of the Manson Family.
