Cody talks about leaving a job with the city in his hometown of Annawan, Illinois, last summer to come to Des Moinea and work at Fitness Sports. He goes into detail about growing up in a small town and when he knew it was time to switch away from playing football. He chats about his days of competing first at Iowa Central and then Illinois State and running at the Drake Relays. He talks about hia future that could include a career as a policeman. He also opens up about letting loose after leading the Runablaze team at USATF Club Cross Country last month and the proper pronunciation of his last name and one side benefit when it is said wrong.
