18-year-old Michelle Martinko was found brutally murdered in her family’s Buick Electra in the new Westdale Mall parking lot in December of 1979. When good old fashioned police work wasn’t enough to solve the case, it eventually went cold. Until 39 years later - when forensic sciences had sufficiently evolved and a newly assigned investigator brought a fresh perspective, and an innovative idea to the table.
