German symphonic metal outfit, Beyond The Black, are back and better than ever as they kick off 2023 with their 5th self-titled masterpiece. Recently signed to Nuclear Blast Records, we are proud to welcome back to IUF, the fantastic talented frontwoman, Jennifer Haben for today's episode. 3 years since the acclaimed “Horizons,” the band has been through minor lineup changes while switching between record labels, and it only seemed to fuel the band's vision of building their musicality. On this new record, Jennifer talks about the early days of the writing process and how this album exemplifies the band's best work to date. Releasing an album during a pandemic can always be a tough call to action, but now, with the world turning the page onto better days, Beyond The Black wanted to turn theirs along with it.
