Mike Reed, Director of the Blockchain Program Office at Intel, joins us to discuss Intel’s blockchain journey and how Intel technologies provide unique capabilities that can improve privacy, security, scalability, and trust of distributed ledger networks. Mike discusses where blockchain started and what is has come to mean for the industry today. Intel has been engaged on solution development for blockchain since 2014, when the Intel Labs team began development of what was code-named Sawtooth Lake, a modular platform for building, deploying, and running distributed ledgers. Mike also discusses how Intel has been working to make blockchains more secure with Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX), as well as architecting the perfect foundation for building blockchain solutions with the new Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors.
