In this episode of Chip Chat, Nelly Porter, Senior Product Manager for Google Cloud, joins us to discuss Confidential Computing and why Google is delivering this service to its customers. Nelly talks about the key drivers for Google’s Cloud strategy and how everything they do takes security, privacy and control into account to bring better protections to customers. Google announced an open source framework in May 2018 called Asylo, to make it easier to create and use enclaves on Google Cloud. Nelly also talks about Google’s collaboration with Intel around hardening their cloud infrastructure with Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX).
