Intel Chip Chat – Network Insights audio podcast with Allyson Klein: The Telco cloud needs to transform to accelerate 5G deployment. Hosting complex networking functions in a virtualized environment on commodity CPUs is performance detrimental. HCL and Intel envisioned an opportunity to co-innovate and develop an acceleration solution based on Intel SmartNIC cards, that significantly improves data plane throughputs and drives adoption. A solution that offloads Segment Routing over IPv6 (SRv6) virtual function on Intel’s Vista Creek SmartNIC with Arria 10 FPGA (PAC N3000) is in trials with Bell Canada, a leading North American Telecom Service Provider.

Shalabh Goel, AVP Products & Services – Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning at HCL Technologies joins Intel Chip Chat Network Insights in this archive of a livecast interview from the Intel Network Builders Summit in conjunction with SDN & NFV World Congress in The Hague, Netherlands.

Shalabh highlights early proof point of the power of the collaboration and the power of the technology. Hear about what is next for the HCL and Intel team in the roadmap to drive additional workloads.
