Paul and his team are responsible for white box solutions for uCPE and the network at the edge. They are focused on partners around the world to bring more virtualized solutions to market.

In this interview, Paul describes Advantech’s new SD-WAN Starter Kits (with Enea and flexiWAN) and the multi-vendor solution featuring a Virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG) demo with netElastic which is running in the World Wide Technology (WWT) Advanced Technology Center, running on Red Hat. The vBNG demo, which was to play at Intel’s booth, utilizes 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors as well as Intel Select Solutions for NFVI Forwarding Platform and demonstrates how a multi-vendor ecosystem provides integrated, validated, benchmarked solutions which are already available as a commercial solution.

Paul highlights how Advantech and the Intel Network Builders ecosystem continue to embrace the role of open source in democratizing the use of new technology.
