The younger someone starts using marijuana chronically the more at risk they are for developing schizophrenia or schizophrenia-like symptoms which are permanent once they set in.

3 in 4 adolescents who smoke regularly will go on to smoke into adulthood and adolescents who vape are more likely to use combustible tobacco in their 20's

The number of adolescents who are vaping specifically because they feel like they are hooked and they 'have to' has tripled in the last year

Dr. Allek Scheele is a pediatric hospitalist fellow at the Helen Devos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She completed undergrad and medical school at the University of Missouri. Following that she completed her pediatric residency at the University of Kansas. Her research now focuses on pediatric and adolescent substance use and exposure.
