It’s a cliche to note that a picture tells a thousand words. And for marketers, it’s increasingly cliched to note the importance of video in a business’ marketing plan. Which of course means that nonprofits are repeatedly told to incorporate more and more video into their web and social media platforms.

But for nonprofits with slim to no marketing budgets -- and nonprofit marketing directors often with little more than a smart phone at their disposal -- how do you create a good video? And perhaps more importantly, what should your video say?
