Episode 178 hosts Natasha Keeping, an Independent Nurse Prescriber based in Nantwich, UK.

Natasha was an NHS nurse for over 20 years with experience in Emergency Care, Sexual health and Primary Care. But like many other health professionals that we've hosted on IA, she has re-defined her career and has been a part-time cosmetic injector for almost a year.

'The Business of Injecting' episodes host injectors to discuss all aspects of their business. We analyse their struggles and challenges, difficult decisions, friction points that aren't yet solved, financial concerns, staffing, hiring, firing and other relevant topics for aesthetic business owners.

In Chapter 2 of 'The Business of Injecting' episodes, we focus on the challenges that a new injector like Natasha faces.

We discuss:

- Her motivations for becoming a cosmetic injector

- The mental hurdle of leaving clinical practice and the NHS

- The feelings of fear and overwhelm when starting a new business

- The concept of a business plan

- Choosing where set up her clinic and the pro's and con's of the choices she made

- What sort of patients she attracts

- What services she offers and why she chose these

- The concept of needing a mentor

- Who can help new injectors and the role of networking: working with pharma reps, KOL’s, other colleagues, training courses and other informal support forums

- How new injectors should price themselves and the temptations of discounting to get bookings

- Marketing and what strategies Natasha has tried so far

- How to measure success in the first year of injecting

- The concept of brand building

- Hiring help:  Admin staff, social media 'experts', marketing, accountancy, legal support & financial planning
