Stories truly bring us together...

'The Orphanage' is the story of a 15 year old ticket scalper in Kabul who dreams of Bollywood before he is forced into a Soviet state run facility. This is the second film in a five-part film series detailing the history of Afghanistan based on Anwar Hashimi’s unpublished autobiography. It began with Sadat’s first feature, The Wolf and the Sheep, about shepherd children in the mountains of central Afghanistan, which won the Jury Prize at the 2016 Cannes Film Fest, Directors’ Fortnight. The third film Kabul Jane is soon to be produced.

We got the distinct pleasure to talk with writer/director Shahrbanoo Sadt about the making of the film and so very much more...
