In Justice is a limited podcast series hosted and produced by Lisa Spees and Spencer Daniels in association with Death By Incarceration. Now available on your favorite pod-catcher.
In the first episode, The Case & The Men, Lisa & Spencer will look at the case presented by the prosecution and some obvious holes therein. Through in-depth interviews with the family members of Emmanuel Rios and Angel Rodriguez, Lisa & Spencer were able to shine a brighter light on their stories.
Lisa & Spencer touch on the prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Roger King and the story that he was able to get a jury to believe.
And be sure to check out our bonus episode - Charles Peruto was a young defense attorney in Philadelphia where he was known to have mafia types and drug dealers as clients. In 1987, Mr Peruto conducted a taped interview with a young man who confessed to a murder. That murder would go unsolved for two years until that young man pointed to two other men as the perpetrators of the crime. Mr Peruto was called to testify for the defense and provide the tape, but claimed to have lost it sending two innocent men to prison.
We spoke with him ahead of the November 2 election in Philadelphia.
Subscribe now to the In Justice podcast and hear the lost confession tape that could have kept two innocent men out of prison for the past 33 years.
