Producer Mark Ciardi should be the subject of his own much-beloved movies. He’s been a Major League pitcher, a European model and a go-to producer for all things sports. After spending years in the minor league, in places like Beloit, Wis., El Paso and Stockton, California, Mark was called up by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1987. After lasting for a cup of cocoa in the Major Leagues, he became a model, working the runways of Paris and Milan for seven years. After that chapter, he became a Hollywood producer, bringing us “The Rookie,” “Invincible” “Secretariat” and “Million Dollar Arm.” And now he’s working on the Kurt Warner story – but I think he should be working on his own!
