Miss Education

Jeanine joins IA to help put the miseducation of our youth and roots of racial inequality in focus. This conversation attempts to traverse a range of delicate topics with the degree of nuance they deserve including:

- the relationship between racial inequality and democratization of early education

- the struggle of keeping top talent in early education

- the strange politicization of charter schools and "school choice"

- the limits of rigid partisanship

- the importance of maintaining the proper incentives for achievement and innovation

- avoiding racial essentialism in search of true anti-racism

- keeping truly open discussion at the forefront of education

- reevaluating "defunding the police" and how to mitigate the unnecessary loss of black lives

- overcoming the stigma of ivy league prestige

- the primacy of instilling self-esteem and a growth mindset in the youth

and many others!
