Where are we on impeachment today?
Today, we hear public testimony from four officials, three of whom listened to the infamous July 25 Trump-Zelensky phone call. In the morning, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a top Ukraine expert at the White House and Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence. Both went to their superiors with concerns about the call, in particular, President Trump's mention of a specific anti-corruption investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. In the afternoon, Tim Morrison, the senior director of European and Russian affairs for the National Security Council, who has differed from other witnesses on certain key elements of the narrative, and former special envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker, who was named one of "the three amigos" by ousted National Security Advisor John Bolton.
