Where are we on impeachment today?
The House Judiciary Committee Republicans were blindsided late last night by a surprise recess called by Chairman Jerry Nadler. Democrats offered little explanation, later saying that such an important moment should take place, "in the light of day." This morning, the committee resumed with their vote on two articles of impeachment against President Trump. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a FOX News appearance that he was coordinating with the President's lawyers on the rules and details of the likely-upcoming Senate trial.
